Bot messages

Almost any text the bot sends to members and to the logs can be rewritten for your family. This is done on the website: Settings → Bot texts and forms → Bot messages.

Bot messages

What you can change

Messages are grouped by section:

  • Applications — an application created, accepted and rejected: direct messages to the candidate, notices in the thread, the announcement in the applications channel, the log and the reply to the About the system button.
  • Tickets — a request created and closed, and the result of a warning removal or rank change.
  • AFK — going AFK, coming back and the time running out.
  • Moderation — warnings (including from auto-moderation and in bulk), mutes, auto-moderation hits and a failed blacklist ban.

Placeholders

A text can use values the bot fills in itself: for example the member's or administrator's mention, the application number, the reason, the rank. The available values are listed under each message.

Reset to default brings back the original text.

Message language

Texts are written in the bot's language from General settings, not the website's language. If you change the bot's language, the default texts change, and the ones you edited stay as they are.

Color

The color of the stripe on the left of the bot's messages is set in General settings: System message color.
