First-time setup
Right after it's added the bot does nothing: commands, panels, automod and the website's sections stay off until the server owner finishes the first-time setup. There are two ways to do it, with the same steps:
- On the website. Open the dashboard and pick the server; the setup wizard opens by itself.
- In Discord. The
/setupcommand. Only the server owner can use it, and only once: after that, everything is changed on the website.
Required steps
Without them the bot can't post its panels.
| Step | What to set |
|---|---|
| Bot language | The language the bot uses in panels, messages and logs. |
| Admin roles | Who gets the admin panel, moderation commands and reviewing of applications and requests. The server owner and members with the Administrator permission always have access. |
| Log channel | Where the bot records the administration's actions: warnings, ranks, bans, applications and settings changes. |
| Applications | The channel with the application panel, the channel for new application notices, and the role an accepted member gets. |
| Panels | Channels for the personal cabinet and the admin panel. The admin panel is best put in a private channel. |
Optional steps
You can skip these and come back later in Settings on the website.
| Step | What to set |
|---|---|
| Modules | Which modules the server needs. A module that is off disappears from the panels, commands and website. See Turning modules on and off. |
| Warn roles | Roles for the 1st and 2nd warning and the punishment for the 3rd. |
| Ranks | The rank roles. They follow the order of roles in Discord: the lowest one becomes rank 1. |
| Name and color | The name shown in the application panel instead of the server's name. The color is the stripe on the left of the bot's messages. |
| Warn removal conditions | What a member can do to get a warning removed. Up to 10 conditions. |
When you press Finish setup, the bot saves everything and posts the panels in the chosen channels by itself.
Application panel channel
The application panel must be in a regular text channel that supports threads: the bot opens a thread there for every application.
